Welcome to Good Talk! By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms").
These Terms govern your use of Good Talk, a conversational simulation app designed to help users navigate and practice challenging conversations.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our service.
1. Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Terms
Good Talk provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
Good Talk offers a conversational simulation platform designed to help users practice challenging conversations. Our service allows users to engage in simulated dialogues to improve their communication skills. It is important to note:
- All conversations in the Good Talk app are a simulation with an AI algorithm, and not a human, let alone one with professional training or any context of your particular situation.
- Conversations simulated within the app are designed for practice and educational purposes only.
- Real-life interactions may vary significantly from how conversations turn out in the application, and Good Talk is not responsible for the outcome of any real-life conversations or situations based on the simulations provided.
- Coaching recieved in the app is not a substitute for professional advice or therapy, and will not cover all skills that you might need to be effective in real life conversations and relationships.
- While Good Talk aims to provide useful scenarios, feedback and coaching for learning, we do not guarantee the effectiveness of any advice or strategies discussed within the app in real-life situations.
- While Good talk makes an attempt to block objectionable content in scenarios, and the actual conversations about them, we do not guarantee that all such objectionable content will be blocked all the time.
- Good Talk collects donations from its users. These donations are entirely optional and your decision to donate or not does not affect your app experience or access in any way.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use Good Talk only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the app. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Engaging in conversations related to violence, hate speech, use of weapons, explicitly sexual content, self-harm, or any criminal activity.
- Harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user.
- Transmitting obscene or offensive content.
- Disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the app.
4. Intellectual Property
All content included on Good Talk, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of Good Talk or its content suppliers and protected by international copyright laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability
Good Talk provides its service on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You expressly agree that your use of the service is at your sole risk.
Good Talk, its affiliates, nor any of their respective employees, agents, third-party content providers, or licensors warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of the service or as to the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the service.
6. Limitation of Liability
Good Talk will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from the use or the inability to use the service or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services or resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through the service.
7. Changes to the Terms of Use
Good Talk reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms, Good Talk will notify you by posting an announcement on the app. What constitutes a "material change" will be determined at Good Talk's sole discretion, in good faith, and using common sense and reasonable judgment.
